Friends of the Hermitage Stream

The Friends of the Hermitage Stream is a group made up of local residents and community figures who aim to look after and promote the Hermitage Stream and surrounding areas. The group meets up regularly to plan activities and campaigns that improve the stream and the surrounding environment. We also aim to encourage families and local Schools enjoy and learn about the stream and its natural heritage. We are always looking for new members and you can get involved in the group as much or as little as you want. We are currently looking for Committee members to help run the group. If you would like more information or want to get involved then please contact us.  Otherwise please like our Facebook page to get updates on what we are doing.

Practical volunteer sessions

One way you can get involved is by volunteering on our practical work days. The group meets up every Thursday to undertake tasks that improve the biodiversity and access along the stream. Typical tasks include restoring footpaths, litter picks and removing invasive species. The work days are led by  Dee Tupper who provide all the necessary tools and equipment. As we work on different sites we will email or text what site to come we  arrive on site for 10am. Details for upcoming work days are shown below. If you would like more information or want to get involved then please contact us.
